Randy
Parker , DVM
A
native of Las Cruces, NM, Dr. Parker completed his veterinary training
at Tufts University in Boston, MA. While at Tufts, his major focus was
the diagnosis and treatment of equine diseases, injuries and
reproduction. After graduation in 1989, he furthered his veterinary
education by completing an internship in large animal medicine and
surgery at the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island,
Canada. Dr. Parker finished his internship as one of the top three in
his class.
Dr. Parker has been practicing in the Colorado Springs area
for
the
past 19 years and is the owner of Range View Equine Associates. In that
time he has developed a vast practical knowledge of veterinary medicine
in our area. He enjoys working on lamenesses, performing equine power
dentistry, treating major horse injuries, doing surgery and
facilitating equine reproductive performance. He started the practice
by working for several years by himself out of his truck and home and
had grown the practice into a multi-doctor clinic. Dr. Parker's goals
have changed over the years. He now realizes that hiring veterinarians
who do not have a vested interest in the practice is not good for his
clients or his business. Dr. Parker has re-evaluated his clinic design
and decided that consistency is the best advantage for his clients as
well as his business. When you call Range View Equine Associates, you
will always be making an appointment with Dr. Parker, himself. No more
wondering who will show up for the appointment and what qualifications
and vested interest that doctor may have. Dr. Parker accepts the
challenges of practice ownership and strives to make Range View Equine
Associates one of the most prestigious practices in the state.

When
away from work, Dr. Parker spends most of his time worrying about the
practice! When he does have some free time, he likes to spend it with
his wife, Jill, daughter Paige, and his two sons, Cole Parker and Sam
and his step-son Cole Kadrie. Dr. Parker has turned into an avid team
roper. He seldom falls off his horse anymore and catches more times
than he misses, usually. He does need a heeler that can "make him look
good."
Dr. Parker is very proud of his practice and hopes everyone keeps Range
View Equine Associates in mind for all their horse care needs.
Dr.
Parker receives Sheriff's Civilian Commendation

Dr. Parker not only serves his clients and patients health
care
needs but also tries to reach out and volunteer to the
community
as much as he can.
In January, Sheriff Terry Maketa honored Dr. Parker by
awarding
him the Sheriff's Civilian Commendation. Sheriff Maketa
thanked
Dr. Parker for his Meritorious Service rendered to the El Paso County
Sheriff's Office and the Citizens of El Paso County.
Dr. Parker was very honored and pleased to accept this award and will
continue to offer his services whenever he is needed.
